Warlu Way Packaging for Chinese

Destination Pilbara

Chinese travelers are an emerging demographic in Western Australia, and the Pilbara region seeks to ensure that the travelling experience is as enjoyable as possible for Chinese guests. The Warlu Way Chinese Packaging Project will convey key tourism information to our Chinese guests in a language and style that is suited to their consumption, allowing them to fully appreciate the richness and diversity of the Pilbara region.

Through this project, nothing will be ‘lost in translation’. The project intends to engage with Tourism WA to identify funding and collaboration opportunities, and to encourage and support Chinese tourism in the region. Over time, this may extend to tourism operator capacity building to cater specifically to this visitor demographic.

Desired Objective

Making it easier for overseas travellers to access information about the Pilbara.

  • Published white-paper.
